Yasmine Benaceur studies sociology at La Sorbonne but quickly dedicates herself to her first short films. She is a laureate of the "L'Atelier" writing residency coordinated by Cinéma 93 and Côté Court. Under her artist name Jazz, she explores the representations of minorities.
