Okema T. Moore is an Emmy- and NAACP Image Award–nominated PGA producer, award-winning director, and writer whose work spans branded, scripted, and unscripted storytelling. She has built a career creating bold, emotionally resonant content for Netflix, OWN, BET, Marvel/Disney, STARZ, and more, with films screening at Tribeca, Outfest, and Reel Sisters.
She wrote and produced the EBONY Power 100 Awards in 2024 and 2025, served as lead producer on the ABFF HBO Short Film Award winner Chocolate with Sprinkles, and earned multiple directing honors for her short Laundry, including her first Directing win at ABFF. In 2026, she directed two shorts presently on the circuit, her first vertical series and was selected for the Juccee Shorts Vertical Cohort as well as both the Black Magic Collective Feature Film and Women’s Episodic Directing Cohorts.
Okema serves on the board of New York Women in Film & Television and is committed to expanding equity, access, and representation across the industry.
