Aspiring filmmaker Lali Finney is a California native based in Atlanta, GA. Having spent an active youth winning medals in dance competitions, filming and directing short comedic videos, and honing her acting skills while signed to a talent agency in Atlanta, she received a full ride to NYU where she studied Film & TV Production. Since graduating in 2022, she has built a portfolio of various projects including the role of Key Set PA for Tribeca grant winner and upcoming Netflix film Colorbook, 2nd ACing for a Peacock original movie The Comeback starring Taye Diggs, and directing her first music video for Atlanta R&B artist Killian. She is excited to premier her directorial debut “Matti” about a young girl’s emerging super powers, which has now been accepted into several film festivals. She is currently focused on directing and writing more short films and music videos, eventually fulfilling her dream of creating epic feature length films that combine both the tangible and intangible realms.
