Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Diop Russell (they/them) is a writer and director committed to changing the world through storytelling. Guided by Black queer feminism and Trans* liberation, Diop writes imaginative stories about LGBTQIA+ folks. Their work delves into themes of reparations, family, healing, and home. Diop holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College.
