Synopsis

Based on an embarrassing true story, AIMEE COMES FIRST is a late coming-of-age story about a repressed Dentist who lives with her overbearing, multi-generational Catholic family and struggles to have her 1st orgasm before her 40th birthday. Directed by Chicago native Aimee Garcia, the film stars BAFTA-winner Alfred Molina, Tony-nominated Olga Merediz and Emmy-winner Lamorne Morris.

Aimee Garcia is a Chicago-born actor, writer, and producer known for Lucifer, Dexter, The Walking Dead: Dead City, and Netflix’s Christmas With You. Her short film Aimee Comes First premiered at Tribeca, while her feature adaptation ranked in the top 1% of The Black List. Garcia is also co-founder of Scrappy Heart Productions, dedicated to championing diverse storytelling across film, television, and comics.
