synopsis

In this modernized tale of Gothic horror, a woman seeks the help of a witch to inquire about the welfare of three groups of people against whom she has sinned.

 

As the lady wakes up from a recurring nightmare of a witch calling to her in the woods.

She leaves in search of the Witch and arrives at a hollow in the woods.
The Lady asks the Witch to show her how 3 groups of people that are no longer in her life, are doing.

The Witch shows her 3 visions, each one gradually becoming more and more disturbing.

As the visions play out, we begin to understand The Lady’s past that she abandoned, as well as the consequences of her actions.

Dhurga Menon

Dhurga Menon is an aspiring writer/director. Her most recent work includes writing the narrative poem for a BAFTA long-listed short film called ‘To My Dying Mother’ as well as writing and directing 2 short-films called ‘A Minor Intervention’ and ‘The Hollow of the Three Hills’. When She was young, she took part in storytelling competitions and co-directed stage plays. Dhurga also interned at a Malaysian film production company, ‘Apparat’ where she learned about the importance of working up the ranks. Being a Malaysian of mixed ethnicity, I can deliver a distinctive voice and narrative. I hope to become a versatile writer/director who tells authentic stories while also making positive changes for the film industry. Dhurga is working as a production assistant at the award-winning production company blueprint, and is working on her next stories.
