BBFF celebrates the power of words and the beauty of diverse voices. From open mic nights honoring the poetic talent of women of color to cinematic showcases of love and verse, we highlight language in motion.On April 25th, join us for a stage filled with voices of resilience, identity, and beauty. On April 26th, we gather at Chicago’s Music Box Theater for a day where film meets poetry, featuring Love Jones and a selection of short poetry films. We invite storytellers, dreamers, and creators to submit works under 5 minutes via Film Freeway. Submissions are now open.
