Join us for Chicago’s ONLY 3-day poetry festival dedicated to uplifting the powerful voices of Black and Brown Femme Poets! This April, BBFF (Black & Brown Femme Films) celebrates National Poetry Month with an unforgettable lineup of art, community, and culture.

Day 1: Kicks off with Catalina Maria Johnson, Road Scholar, presenting her captivating program “Latin Hip Hop as a New Poetry” at Pilsen Arts & Community House. 1637 W 18th St, Chicago, IL 60608

Day 2: Brings an electrifying open mic night where Black and Brown femme poets share their stories, creativity, and spirit at Last Sip Cafe located at 1057 W. Argyle in Chicago, IL 60640

Day 3: Closes the festival with a dazzling film festival at Film Row Theater, Columbia College. The Poetry Film Festival features works inspired by poetry and femme brilliance
