BBFF’26 is a nonprofit, submission-free independent film festival taking place July 24–25, 2026, at the Logan Center for the Arts in Chicago.

The festival features film screenings, filmmaker Q&As, and networking opportunities centered on identity, community, and creative storytelling.

The Black Brown Femme Film Festival 2026 proudly presents 42 original films from around the world, each created by visionary femme filmmakers of color.

This year’s Official Selections highlight bold artistic voices that challenge convention, uplift marginalized stories, and expand the possibilities of film. From intimate personal narratives to experimental visual works, the BBFF’26 lineup reflects the heart, creativity, and power of this year’s festival programming.

Spanning documentary, animation, horror, comedy, drama, and more, each film was selected for its distinct approach to storytelling, craft, and cultural impact. Across two days, audiences will experience stories rooted in migration, identity, gender, mental health, ancestry, resilience, queerness, and community.

The Black & Brown Femme Film Festival is proud to prioritize accessibility.
